CHRISTOPHER RUOCCHIO COMES TO TEXAS IN SEPTEMBER

Sun Eater author Christopher Ruocchio will be in Texas September 2 through September 8, with stops in the Dallas area, Houston, and Austin! And what's more, he'll be joined by Ryan Cahill of THE BOUND AND THE BROKEN for the two Dallas events (really, he's joining Ryan). Here's the full list as it presently stands, but we're hoping to add at least one more stop to the Austin leg of the trip:

WRITING UPDATES, TALES OF THE SUN EATER, AND MORE

Hey everyone, Christopher here. As you can see from above, I'm hitting the road next month, taking a week to visit a number of you all in Texas, to do a convention, and to do some events with Ryan Cahill. I'm looking forward to it, and to meeting up with a bunch of folks I know who live out that way. I may have a couple events closer to home later in September, and may be on the road again the month after (more on that as it develops, so stay tuned).
BOOK SEVEN PRODUCTION
But what about BOOK SEVEN? Well, I'm happy to report that it's passed the 50% mark AND the 200K word threshold. Currently, BOOK SEVEN is estimated to be the longest book in the series (my spreadsheet is guessing about 380K just now). As in the past, this is not reflective of the final length, since we're just talking about the first draft. I'm very happy with it so far, and I expect to finish this draft by the end of the year. The current target for publication is the end of 2025. But don't worry! There'll be new Sun Eater stuff before we get there. You can count on that.
TALES OF THE SUN EATER
The revised edition of TALES OF THE SUN EATER, VOL. 2 is finished and is currently in the hands of the typesetter. That should be out in August (I expect to have the finished files in a about a week or so). VOL. 4 is written, and I just received the finished cover art. That'll be out hopefully by the end of the year.
DIAMOND EDITIONS
The Diamond Editions of EMPIRE OF SILENCE are reprinting now. I just got word the interior pages are finished, so they're starting work on assembly. I expect to have a delivery date next week.
ANDERIDA EDITIONS
The Anderida reprints of THE LESSER DEVIL & OTHER STORIES, QUEEN AMID ASHES & OTHER STORIES, and THE DREGS OF EMPIRE & OTHER STORIES are in production now. We're putting the finishing touches on new art for THE MURDERED SUN and hope to have that to show off it not THIS month, then next. Their edition of EMPIRE OF SILENCE will follow, likely next year at this point.
BROKEN BINDING EDITIONS
The Broken Binding editions of EMPIRE OF SILENCE, HOWLING DARK, and DEMON IN WHITE are at the printer. They should go up for pre-order fairly soon.
